# Here we will show how a user invited by the administrator authenticates and starts Matlantis for the first time. Please note that the invitation link from the email is only for the first time (with expiration date), so please check back for instructions on how to log in for the second and subsequent times.
1. email invitation
An email invitation will be sent from <noreply@matlantis.com> to the user. Once received, click on "Go to Matlantis" on the screen.
* This link runs for 7 days.
* So, please check here for instructions on how to log in a second time or later.
2. Sign-up
When the sign-up screen appears, select the ID provider (Microsoft or Google) that you have applied for.
3. Authentication
Enter the account name and password required for authentication on the account selection screen. (The figure shows an example when the ID provider is Google.)
4. Transition to Dashboard
After successful authentication, you will be redirected to the Dashboard screen. Click "Start Application" to launch Matlantis.
5. Launch Matlantis (Notebook env.)
Return to the Dashboard and click "Start Application".
When the JupyterLab interface is displayed, the startup is complete.
6. Log in for the Second Time or Later
*After the initial authentication, you will not be able to log in by clicking on the email invitation.
Instead, you can log in from the official website <https://matlantis.com/> by clicking on "Login" in the upper right corner and entering your subdomain. Or, you can add <https://[subdomain].us.matlantis.com> (for US region) to bookmark.
